White Cliffs opal doublet ring in sterling silver

This one of a kind handmade White Cliffs doublet opal ring was cut and set by hand in my small workshop in Clunes Australia. I personally found this opal myself in White Cliffs NSW and most of the silver used was recycled from jewellery I found metal detecting. This is a unique piece of Australian made jewellery. Beautiful and bright blue-green flashes of colour and a deep blue body tone, looking at this doublet is like staring into the ocean. I forgot to weigh this stone before setting so I don't have a carat weight, but is approx. 9mmx11mmx3.5mm. Size 9/R Some minor inclusions visible inside the stone that doesn't detract from this stunning piece.
